Is macanholdings a scam

I opened an account with
cfd.macanholdingslimited.com
and deposited 250€

There are several things, which make me suspicious.
Shall I try to withdraw my money and run?

Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out. Generally speaking, if something seems off, it’s often a warning sign, and you might indeed be dealing with a scam.

I looked into this provider and, unfortunately, it appears to be a scam. The reasons are the following:

  • There are numerous negative reviews online, with people reporting it as fraudulent.
  • The company has no contact information, which is a major red flag.
  • They are not regulated by any reputable financial authority. They claim to be regulated by the “FINAEU,” which is a fake regulator. On top of that, they inconsistently refer to this regulator in different ways: “FINEAU,” “European Financial Comission,” “European Financial Authority,” and “European Financial Security.” This inconsistency in naming is another clear warning sign.
  • Their website is also full of bugs, which is highly unusual for legitimate companies.

Given all these red flags, I strongly advise that you try to withdraw your money immediately and stop any further interaction with them. It’s better to act sooner rather than later to minimize potential losses.

Also, keep in mind that it’s not typical for legitimate brokers to ask for additional deposits under the pretense of covering withdrawal fees, taxes, or other charges. While such fees are normal, they are always deducted directly from your account balance. If you receive requests for extra payments, do not send them any more money—this is a common tactic used by scammers.

Please let me know if you need any help or further advice.

Best regards,
Andris

Hi Andris,

thank you very much for your response. I managed to withdraw my money, by telling them, that I wanted to try the withdrawals. Via Crypto.com I also transfered the amount into my bank account. So no losses made
They didn’t allow me to withdraw the made profits. Now that seems to be another red flag.

Many thanks again

Kind regards
Ilona

Hi Ilona,

Thank you for the update—I’m really glad to hear you managed to withdraw your initial deposit! Scammers often allow smaller withdrawals to earn your trust, only to push for more deposits later. The fact that they restricted access to your profits is indeed another red flag and aligns with these common tactics.

If you need any more assistance or have questions about other brokers, don’t hesitate to reach out.

Thanks again, and take care!

Kind regards,
Andris
