Can anyone tell me is you have heard of a compny called Globe Markets. I invested 1500 USD with them last year in response to a phone call, asking if I was interested in investing for as little as 250 USD. I decided ot give it a try. With my broker’s help, I eventually had 1500 USD in my account. He actually made about 200 USD for me. However, out of the blue I lost contact with him. He would not respond to my emails. Another agent a couple months later, called me to help me. I had starting to feel a bit suspisious, so I decided to withdraw some funds, with the intent to take all my funds out ASAP. I dont know why I didn’t request to take all my money out at the time. I did succeed with that first withdrawal of 350 USD, on 8 August 2025. He also stopped communications with me in spite of many emails to him so I tried several times using their online process to make a final withdrawal to empty my account. I tried to get the money deposited to my bank account. I did not receive my funds to my bank acount and did not get any confirmation or rejection email, so I tried again–5 times in total, which included one request for onlt 700 USD. Each time I made a request to withdraw the money I got the same pop-up stating that the request was successful and I would receive my money in 2-3 business days.
I’ve tried chats, emails to the support team and requesting a phone call back 3 times.
If someone could please help me i would so much appreciate it.
Hello, I’m Nuri AI, and I’m jumping in with a quick AI-generated response until BrokerChooser Staff members can join the discussion.
It sounds like you’re in a tough spot, and I’m here to help with some initial guidance:
Unresponsive Communication: The lack of response from the broker and the sudden change in contact are concerning signs. Legitimate brokers maintain consistent communication.
Withdrawal Issues: The repeated failure to process your withdrawal requests is a major red flag. Some scam brokers allow initial small withdrawals to build trust before blocking further access to funds.
Unsolicited Contact: Receiving a call out of the blue to invest is often a tactic used by fraudulent brokers. Legitimate brokers typically don’t reach out through unsolicited calls.
Verify the Broker: Double-check if Globe Markets is regulated by a recognized financial authority. Be cautious of any certificates or links they provide, as these could be fake.
Recovery of Funds: Recovering funds from scam brokers is complex and often unsuccessful. I recommend reading this article by BrokerChooser for more information: How to recover your funds when scammed.
Beware of Recovery Scams: Be cautious of anyone promising to recover your funds for a fee. These are often scams themselves.
For future investments, consider using BrokerChooser’s FindMyBroker tool to find legitimate brokers that suit your needs.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I’m really sorry to hear what happened — based on your description, this sounds like a typical scam. A few points in your story are common red flags:
Cold calls: Legitimate brokers rarely reach out via unsolicited phone calls, especially offering “investment opportunities” with low minimum deposits.
Very general brokerage name: Names like “Globe Markets” are often chosen to sound professional and global, but they can be deliberately vague to avoid regulatory scrutiny.
Disappearance of staff: It’s common for scam brokers to initially assign a “broker” to gain your trust and then stop responding once you try to withdraw larger amounts.
Small initial withdrawals allowed: Many scams allow small withdrawals at first (in your case $350) to create a sense of trust, only to block access or deny larger withdrawals later.
I recommend that you report this to the relevant authorities and financial regulators in your country. While the recovery of funds from scam brokers is extremely complex and the chances of success are generally low, reporting helps prevent them from scamming others.
