Is webull free in Canada?

I came across different information on fees in Webull. Some websites say it has 2.99$ commission per trade, others say it is commission free. Even webull’s own website has two different information. I am confused here. Which information is correct?

Hey there,

Thanks for your message. The reason why you’re confused about Webull’s fees is because Webull’s fee structure is different in Canada compared to the United States. In the U.S., Webull has a commission-free trading model, making it highly attractive for cost-conscious investors. However, the situation is different in Canada.

In Canada, Webull imposes a $2.99 commission per trade for both Canadian and U.S.-listed stocks and ETFs. This fee structure comes into effect after a 90-day commission-free period for new clients. Additionally, Webull Canada has other associated fees, such as an annual account fee of $10 and foreign exchange fees (Exchange Rate + 1.5%), which are not typically encountered by U.S. users.

If these fees are more than you’re willing to commit at this point, check our top list of Best online brokers in Canada in 2024.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Kind regards,
