Need help urgent

Can anyone tell me if
https://stanlychrls.com is associated to stanleycharles.com site. It just rings warning bells.
You go onto http://stanlychrls.com and have a login page which is 1111 this then takes you to a stanleycharles page but the url is still the stanlychrls url… they then say to press the web trader logo on top left side and then you need to login again which i have the password if needed. This brings you to the trade screen. I put 250usd into this and made 470 in 2 days, now they want me to put 2000 into it, but it just seems not right.
Can anyone give me advice here.
Cheers
Andy

Hey Andy,

Thanks for your message. The behaviour of the broker you described raises several red flags indicative of a potential scam:

  1. Similar but Different URL: The slight alteration in the URL (from stanleycharles.com to stanlychrls.com) is a common tactic used in phishing and scam websites to deceive users into thinking they are on a legitimate site.
  2. Unusual Login Process: Navigating to another login page with the same URL after you have already logged in once is unusual and suspicious. Legitimate financial and trading platforms typically have straightforward, secure login processes.
  3. Pressure to Invest More: Encouraging you to invest a larger amount of money (increasing from $250 to $2000) after seeing quick, significant returns is a common tactic used by scammers to lure victims into investing more before they disappear with the funds.
  4. Unrealistic Returns: Making $470 in two days from an initial investment of $250 is a very high return and often a sign of a scam. Genuine investment platforms rarely promise such quick and significant profits.
  5. Lack of Verification: There is no easy way to verify the legitimacy of the site or the people behind it, and reputable trading platforms are usually well-known and regulated by top-tier authorities.

Given these points, unfortunately I believe you’ve been scammed. Please don’t send any more money to them and report the incident to relevant authorities.

I would recommend checking the following article where we collected a few things you can try to get your funds back: https://brokerchooser.com/forex/regulation/scams#how-to-recover-your-funds-when-scammed.

Thanks much appreciated. I thought it was not right. But no worry I write it off as learning. I paid by PayPal so they might help. Thanks again.
