https://brokerchooser.com/invest-long-term/learn/cash-yield-at-lynx is wrong. It says the USD credit rate is 3.38% (above 10k, with NAV above 100k). But that’s IBKR rate. Lynx applies a 2 % markdown, so the rate is 1.38% (well, 1.14% as of today). Quite a difference!
Thanks for flagging this UntouchedDerriere3476.
You are right that our page needs updating: the currently published LYNX USD cash interest rate is no longer 3.38%. Based on LYNX’s official credit-rate page, the currently listed rate is 3.140% p.a. on USD balances above $10,000 for accounts with NAV above $100,000, with no interest paid on the first $10,000.
That said, based on the public information we checked, we could not confirm the claim that LYNX applies an additional 2 percentage point markdown that would reduce the rate to 1.14%. The official LYNX page currently shows 3.140%, and IBKR’s own published USD rates also point to 3.140% for the comparable Pro tier.
We appreciate you pointing this out and we’ll review the page wording and figures.

Chris
Hi @Chris ,
Thanks for your update. No wonder you couldn’t confirm the 2% markdown, it’s not prominently displayed. However, here’s a few options where you can see it:
- https://www.lynxbroker.de/preise-konditionen/zinsen/#habenzinsen enter e.g. 100,000 USD to get 1.14%
